Amanda’s Apples - 14-23 months (30 min class, once a week)
Amanda’s Apples is a program designed for the baby and mommy/caregiver. The class runs 30 minutes one day a week and is action packed in order to maintain short attention spans. Using creative movement, music, and dance, Amanda’s Apples will develop listening skills and large and small motor skills. They will also be learning how to take turns, share, and gain independence.
Tumbling Tots - 23 months-3 years (30 min class, once a week)
Tumbling Tots is a wonderful introduction to both dancing and gymnastics combined. This program is designed for 2 and 3 year olds who are ready to go, go, go! Mommy's/Caregivers may be incorporated in the class for the first couple of weeks. The class runs for 30 minutes one day a week. Tumbling Tots not only gains everything that Amanda’s Apples does, but now we will be incorporating counting skills, colors, and tumbling. This unique class teaches the most basic dance and gymnastics techniques. This class consists of one 30 minute class per week and a performance in an end of the year pre-show to our recital.
Preschool Dance- 3-5 years (45 min class, once a week)
Miss Amanda’s preschool class will teach students creative movement, pre-ballet and pre-tap. Students will also learn classroom etiquette such as raising your hand, taking turns, and respecting others. The class provides consistency and structure, while still being energetic and fun. It incorporates intellectual concepts of self awareness, creative expression, imagination, basic body/health awareness, and teamwork through a variety of exciting teaching methods. The classes are upbeat and stimulating. Drawing on the child’s wonderful imagination and boundless energy, the exercises are taught through repetition, role playing, and, of course dance. The class consists of one 45 minute class per week and a performance in an end of the year recital.
Kinder Dance- 4-6 years (1 hour class, once a week)
Kinderdance is designed to provide children with a strong foundation of dance using movement sequencing, patterning, and spatial relationship. Educators now know that training in these concepts will lay a strong foundation for the later development of reading, mathematics, and other educational skills. The children will become familiar with three disciplines of dance in every class: ballet, tap, and jazz. The class consists of a 1 hour combination class per week.
Kinder Acro 4-6 years (1 hour class, once a week)
Our acro classes offer an introduction to the fundamentals of gymnastics with a focus on tumbling that will provide the building blocks necessary for potential development in gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance. By learning the benefits of flexibility, balance, core strength and body control, your child will be better equipped to safely develop and excel in all of his or her future athletic endeavors.
Combo Cuties 6-9 years (1 hour class, once a week)
Combo Cuties will become familiar with two disciplines of dance jazz and hip hop, ballet and tap, or acro and tumbling in every class. In these classes the students start to explore more about body isolations, placement and overall dance technique. These are level 3 of all the combo classes we offer at Studio A. The students will start to really work on becoming show stoppers while they learn more choreography at an age appropriate level. These classes are fun filled and great for our recreational students!
Cheer Skills/Tumbling
This class is recommended for students ages 4+ who are interested in cheerleading, are enthusiastic, and full of energy! Students will be taught the basic skills needed to advance in the sport of cheerleading. Students will better their skills of jumping, tumbling, stunting, and learn stretching and conditioning techniques. Main focus is cheer tumbling, drills, and skills geared for Pop Warner/AYC. The Cheer Skills/Tumbling class is a great way for children to get started if they are interested in trying out for cheerleading or to enhance performance in Pop Warner/AYC Cheer, as well as any other sport that requires overall physical fitness, such as gymnastics, dance, and diving.
Hip hop (45 minutes - 1 hour class, once a week) 7+
Hip hop originates from jazz and these classes place an emphasis on isolating body parts, freestyle dance moves, as well as learning todays hottest new dance trends. The class includes a basic technique warm-up, basic hip hop moves, steps that travel across the floor, and combinations. While no previous training is required, classes will use basic body isolations found in other technique classes. Our hip hop classes are age appropriate, high energy, and fast paced!
Acro (1 hour class, once a week) 7+

Ballet (1 hour class, once a week) 7+
Learn the classical art of ballet. Our classes inspire the love of movement through graduated levels of ballet, designed to teach awareness and respect for the body. Using the barre, center floor and across the floor techniques we emphasize careful technical training that will enhance all physical endeavors and welcome all ages and levels, regardless of previous training. All students will be placed in the correct class as determined by the director/instructor. Students will realize results in dance movement after a minimum of classes all while learning proper turn out, core strength and proper body alignment.
Tap (45 minute class, once a week) 7+
Learn the exciting rhythmic dance form, tap. The instructor stresses the basics of tap and then builds into rhythmic combinations that are incredible to watch and listen to. Inspired by jazz and ballet technique.
Jazz (1 hour class, once a week) 10+
Jazz is a style of dance that originates from ballet, but it has been enhanced by broadway musicals, hot trends, and the popularization of dance in the media. Our jazz classes will consist of intricate rhythm patterns, emotional intensity, extensive flexibility, and learning expressive facial presentation.
Intro to Contemporary (1 hour class, once a week)
Intro to Contemporary appeals to the creative, artistic soul in everyone because of its expressiveness and freedom of individuality. Studio A's Contemporary classes introduce elements of ballet technique. In Intro to Contemporary students will be gaining a combination of Ballet Technique and Barre work, while also learning and implementing Contemporary choreography designed for beginner contemporary dancers. We focus on movement from the inside out, encouraging use of breath, energy, and connection. A warm up of extensive breath and energy work, followed by exercises that emphasize extension, release, weight, momentum, and force, culminate in long movement phrases and improvisation exercises. The goal of these classes are to develop strong, versatile dancers that can master any dance style.
Contemporary (1 hour class, once a week) 13+ *Prerequisite Ballet
