July 4th Parade- March/Float:

Our Float is a Grease Theme from our Finale in Night at the Movies!

Float participants (listed below) and chaperones need to be at McCarthy Middle School by 8:30 a.m. Chaperones should park their cars at 7 Summer Street and take the shuttle over to McCarthy Middle School. Summer Street is where the Parade ends. THE LAST SHUTTLE LEAVES AT 9AM! IF YOU DO NOT MAKE THE LAST SHUTTLE YOU MUST MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO GET TO MCCARTHY BEFORE 9AM AS NORTH ROAD WILL BE CLOSED AT 9AM.

Parade begins promptly at 10am and will end roughly around 1pm

PARKING:

There will be NO parking at McCarthy Middle School. This is where the entire parade lines up.

People On the float MUST BE DRESSED IN GREASE THEME COSTUMES

NOTE- We cannot fit everyone onto the float for safety reasons. This is a massive TOW TRUCK that is at least 4.5 feet up off the ground. We have installed banisters and railings for safety but we cannot squeeze everyone onto the truck. Marching in the parade is just as important as being on the float. We need our Marching people passing out candy and beads while dancing down the street! When you are on the float you are very limited in movement and must remain stationed in your designated areas at all times and you cannot jump on and off the float throughout the parade.

Chaperones & Marchers:

Those of you who are MARCHING can wear Grease themed costumes or 4th of July Themed Clothing (RED, WHITE AND BLUE COLORS). Please be sure to bring a bag of candy to hand out throughout the parade. NO WATER GUNS!

DECORATIONS FOR THE FLOAT:

Drive-in Movie Screen with two power wheel cars facing the screen.

Stadium Bleachers

Cell Bars with FUN HOUSE sign

Possible Beauty salon area Sound System playing Grease themed music!

If you have any decorations that are 1950's themed and/or any other great ideas to add please let us know and feel free to get creative. We would love to have giant music notes hanging on the truck and anything that reminds you of Grease!

As always these two events are made possible by the dedicated dancers, parents and staff of Studio A. We thank all of you for being so passionate about our business, performances and programs that we offer! This is going to be a fantastic 2 days for all to enjoy!
